🐌 Introducing “The Star Flower and the Snail”

If you’ve been following my journey, you know I pour my heart into every stitch. This design is no exception, but it holds a unique charm. It’s an intermediate-level crewelwork project that allows you to explore rich textures and dimension, pairing a stylized star flower with a delightful garden snail. The finished A4-sized piece is a true conversation starter, blending historical elegance with a touch of playful nature.

🎬 See It Come to Life: The Timelapse!

Ever wondered what goes into creating an intricate embroidery piece? To celebrate the launch of “The Star Flower and the Snail” kit, I’ve created a special timelapse video documenting the entire stitching process. It’s a fantastic way to visualize how the design builds stitch by stitch, from the initial transferred lines to the final textured details.

Trust me, there’s something incredibly satisfying about watching hours of work unfold in just a few minutes!

👑 Journey into Extreme Embroidery: The Kingfisher Saga

Speaking of hours of work… if you enjoyed the timelapse, you simply must see my most monumental embroidery project to date: the Kingfisher Embroidery.

This colossal piece wasn’t just a project; it was an obsession! It took me a staggering 936 hours and over 170,000 individual stitches to complete. It was a true test of patience, skill, and passion, and documenting the journey was almost as epic as the stitching itself. While it’s not a kit (yet!), watching its creation offers a unique insight into what’s possible with needle and thread.

It’s a testament to the power of slow art and dedication, and I love sharing the story behind it.

🤫 A Peek Behind the Curtains: What’s Next in The Craft Room?

While “The Star Flower and the Snail” is perfect for intermediate stitchers, I haven’t forgotten those just starting out! I’m currently hard at work designing two brand-new beginner crewelwork embroidery kits—the perfect introduction to the world of wool stitching.

And for those who prefer learning in a guided environment: I’m also preparing to launch my first series of online embroidery classes!
